The Guinness Book of World Records holds some of the finest and strangest achievements of mankind. Whether it’s the fastest selling comic book of all time, or the person with the world’s stretchiest skin: there’s a record for everything. On February 16, 2011, Oreo cookies set a Guinness World Record for the most Facebook “likes” in a 24-hour period with 114,619 “likes”. Although the record was smashed only a few hours later by rapper Lil Wayne, both remain impressive feats. A few weeks later, another Guinness World Record was set by Charlie Sheen: the fastest time to reach 1 million followers on Twitter. It only took him 25 hours and 17 minutes! After a little reading on the Guinness World Records home page, I managed to dig up some World Records, specifically within social media and the digital era. Take a look and let me know which one you think is the most impressive.
